RESOURCES FOR PREPARED EVENTS

Prepared Events give students the opportunity to research, create, and practice their presentation before the conference. Competitors develop a written business plan or pitch deck (depends on the event) in advance and then present it live to a judge. Events topics range from marketing campaigns to entrepreneurial proposals.

Projects with a written or pitch deck component will turn those pieces in ahead of the conference. Presentations are given and evaluated at the conference. These events are evaluated on both the written component and the delivery, using real-world business standards. Strong preparation, creativity, and professionalism are key to standing out.

CONCEPTUAL EVENTS

These events challenge participants to develop innovative research-based ideas and pitch them to a judge. The plans should be realistic and well thought out, but they are often not executed in real life. Click on the event below to learn more.

ENTREPRENEURSHIP EVENTS

INTEGRATED MARKETING CAMPAIGN

PROFESSIONAL SELLING + CONSULTING

IMPLEMENTED EVENTS

These events require participants to fully carry out their project in the real world. Whether it’s a campaign, fundraiser, or service activity, students must show what they did, what happened, and what they learned.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT EVENTS

BLENDED EVENTS

These events combine both conceptual and implemented elements. Participants might need to conduct research, collect data, or operate a functioning business while proposing new, hypothetical strategies to improve it. Participants are showasing what currently exists and what could come next.
