COMPETITION INSIGHTS TEAM
APPLY TO BE A PART OF THE 26-27 COMPETITION INSIGHTS TEAM
The Competition Insights Team gives students the opportunity to turn their DECA experience into competition guides, testing strategies, event tips, leadership insights, and other resources that help Texas DECA members prepare with confidence and succeed throughout their competitive journey.

APPLICATION PROCESS & REQUIREMENTS
To apply, you must:
Be a sophomore, junior, or senior for the 26-27 year with at least one year of DECA competition experience
Show an understanding DECA’s competitive events and resources needed
Submit the full application at bit.ly/compinsightsapp
Submit 1 completed resource or project that you have previously worked on that shows your knowledge and ability to contribute to the team
Submit 3 competition related resource ideas that you think Texas DECA members would benefit from having access to
* Advisors will be given the opportunity to share recommendations for each applicant (an email will be sent to advisors by Texas DECA after applications are submitted giving advisors the opportunity to share their recommendations and experience with applicants)
JOINING THE SOCIAL MEDIA TEAM IS AN OPPORTUNITY TO:
Share your competition experience to help other members prepare and succeed
Develop valuable communication skills by creating impactful educational resources
Collaborate with other high-achieving members from across Texas
Leave a lasting impact by shaping the resources that support future competitors
TEAM COMMITMENTS:
Commit approximately 2-4 hours per week
Attend semi-monthly virtual meetings
Create or contribute to at least one original competition resource
Create or contribute to at least one Glass Class video
Participate in peer review and feedback sessions
Submit progress updates when requested
Complete a final project report documenting goals and contributions
