Case study challenges must be completed and submitted by individuals. These are not team events.

if you are submitting for multiple cases, submissions may be made one at a time or all at one time

The Case Study Challenge is a Texas DECA event that allows members to gain experience navigating a role play event, practice working with performance indicators, and apply their critical thinking skills. One case study for each category - Management, Finance, Marketing, Hospitality - will be released on September 20, 2023. Participants will have one month to work out their solution to one (or more) of the events, record a video of their solution following the provided guidelines, and submit. Submissions will be evaluated virtually by judges. Evaluations may go to a final round for evaluation. If a final round is needed, the original video submission will be used. Teachers are encouraged to use this as a classroom activity and chapters can promote this to members to participate on their own. Students are not required to be registered DECA members at the time of participation. However, top performers must be registered members to receive scholarships, if applicable, and for your chapter to receive the awarded academy allocations.
