Welcome to Texas DECA!

Texas DECA is a national association of marketing education students, which provides teachers and members with educational and leadership development activities to merge with the education classroom instructional program.

Today, more than 170,000 marketing students, 4,500 teachers and 14,000 postsecondary members enjoy the benefits of DECA, An Association of Marketing Students.

By giving students hands-on experiences in the fields of marketing, management and entrepreneurship – DECA enhances the classroom by providing opportunities for members to attend conferences, competition and leadership training.  The experience provided by DECA builds character that will be utilized in all aspects of life.

Fashion Career Day

The Fashion Group Foundation of Houston needs to update their email list for the Fashion Career Day. Interested teachers should send an email to careerday@wt.net to receive registration information, if they have not already received this year’s information.

The Fashion Group Foundation of Houston is once again planning to host the fabulous Fashion Career Day on Tuesday, March 10, 2009 at the University of Houston Hilton. For the past six years five or six hundred students have spent the day with fashion  executives in workshop sessions. The day ends with students' original designs being shown and judged by people in the industry and scholarships are awarded. It is one exciting day, and teachers can earn Continuing Professional Education hours too.
