Statewide Advisor Training

Statewide Advisor Training regularly draws in over 200 advisors for one day of experiential learning. The training sessions feature advisors and state staff. Our break sessions bring great opportunities to companies to provide resources and marketing collateral for advisors to utilize during their academic school year.

District Career Development Conference

January 2020

Students compete within Texas DECA’s 11 geographic areas, and the top-place winners per event from each area earn the privilege to compete at the State Career Development Conference in Fort Worth, Texas in February.

State Career Development Conference

February 20-22, 2020

Competitive events provide student members the opportunity for hands-on learning through competition in business and marketing applications. The State Career Development Conference has consistently been the premier event for Texas DECA members, bringing more than 4,800+ conference attendees. More than 500 volunteers from the business community donate their time and talent to judge these students and help determine who qualifies to move on to the International Career Development Conference to represent Texas DECA against 15,000 other DECA Competitors from around the world.
